I made this water schedule because I was tired of the regular door hanger schedule you get with the controller. I needed and wanted more information in order to program the sprinkler systems I was installing and maintaining correctly. It has always been hard to organize and label a system with the little door hanger and be able to figure out what is actually programmed. Don't get me wrong, I still use the provided door hanger in some cases and it is good for minimal information, but it has never been what I wanted. So I made this sprinkler water schedule to get everything I like to know to program a sprinkler system correctly and efficiently. It is especially handy for making adjustments when needed. For example, I was checking a system the other day and noticed a section looking dry. I knew it was the south end of the parking lot but I did not know what number it was, off the top of my head or which zone ran that particular section. So I went to the controller, which is in a back utility closet and referenced the water schedule that I had filled out and was able to determine the exact number of the zone based on the description and knowing what type of sprinklers were in the zone I could make the right adjustments to get the grass looking better. Having this sprinkler water schedule made it very easy to make this adjustment, I was able to do it really fast, and I was confident that I made the right adjustment because of the quick reference information that I had available.
